Whiskey Cake in The Woodlands is such a great spot if you’re looking for good fresh food, drinks and a nice atmosphere. We tried several different things so we could get a little taste of everything, and overall we really enjoyed our visit. We started with the Goat Cheese Fondue, which comes with roasted tomatoes, olives, garlic confit and grilled sourdough. Both fresh ingredients from local vendors. Definitely a good one for the table to share! We also tried the Turkey Chili, topped with avocado, smoked gouda, corn chips and sour cream. For our meals, we had the Fish & Chips, which was a huge portion and the Prime Rib & Gouda Stack with fries. We also tried one of their salads with steak and everything came out looking fresh and filling. Their menu has a nice variety, so there’s something whether you’re wanting comfort food, a sandwich, salad or something a little heavier. (Whiskey Cake) Of course, with a name like Whiskey Cake, we had to get into the whiskey! 😂 We tried their Old Fashioned Flight, which was such a fun way to sample a few different versions without committing to just one. If you enjoy whiskey or bourbon, their drink selection is definitely part of the experience

Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Houston! For any special occasion or celebration, this is usually where we end our night. It’s completely out of the way from where we live, but it’s always worth the drive. Somehow, I leave loving this place even more after every visit. The drinks are fresh and delicious, they have an incredible whiskey selection, and the food is consistently top-notch. The menu changes seasonally, which I really appreciate because it means ingredients are showcased at their peak freshness and flavor and you can absolutely taste the difference in every dish. The staff is kind and always happy to answer questions. You can tell they’re treated well because they genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and are happy to be there. We’ve celebrated so many special moments here, and I’ve worked my way through a good portion of the menu. I’ve been impressed every single time. ❤️ Love y’all, Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar!

Classic American restaurant and gastropub that sells surprisingly well portioned and quality foods. It is definitely a “nice occasion” type spot - not cheap but not overly expensive. Their whisky cake is as good as advertised - very similar to a sticky toffee pudding but more smooth and comes with whipped cream instead of ice cream. I also tried their salmon which was excellent. The fish and chips looked delicious, and massive, as well. Lots of seating and bar seating. Staff are friendly, wait doesn’t ever seem to get to bad. A great sit down and enjoy a hearty meal spot.

I had heard about Whiskey Cake but had never went to one. It lived up to its reputation! The food was excellent, the restaurant layout was cool, has a huge bar area and different configurations of seatings (booth, high tops, tables). Our waiter was very nice and had great recommendations on dishes. And this place obviously has a large whiskey selection. We had desserts to go and the whiskey cake was very good. I would revisit for sure.

Had the most incredible experience eating at the bar top here on a business trip. Had a a fantastic bartender whose attitude and kindness made the experience very memorable. Shes been working there for over 5 years but was still kind, attentive and always knew what I needed. Decided to go with the Ribeye and deviled eggs. She even threw in an incredible whiskey cake that left me absolutely stuffed but satisfied. Couldn’t ask for a more when it comes to a friendly lowkey restaurant with good food. I will definitely be back for more.
